Nature Encounters

Nature offers an endless variety of subjects, from the smallest details revealed through a macro lens to birds, flowers, trees, and the quiet presence of wildlife. Nature Encounters is a collection of photographs created during those moments when something in the natural world makes me stop, look more closely, and reach for the camera.

Unlike my landscape work, where the wider scene often shapes the photograph, these images are about individual subjects and the details, forms, colors, textures, and behaviors that make them interesting. Sometimes it is the structure of a flower, the patterns hidden in a small natural detail, the character of a solitary tree, or the brief appearance of a bird or animal.

There is no single subject or photographic technique that defines this collection. It is simply a place for observing nature on a more intimate scale and exploring what catches my attention along the way.

As with all my photographic explorations, the images shown here are carefully selected and edited, personal encounters with nature that I found worth preserving and sharing.
